Why is water collecting on my driveway?
Identify the low area, the direction of runoff and any existing drain. A channel drain needs an appropriate outlet, while a grading change must consider the garage, sidewalk and adjoining properties.
What to look for.
- Where does water collect and how long does it remain?
- Does water flow toward the building or adjoining property?
- Is there an appropriate, permitted discharge destination?
Observe only from a safe place. Do not touch electrical equipment in wet areas or climb onto a wet roof.
