How do I stop water reaching my foundation?
Look at roof runoff, ground levels, window wells and foundation drainage together. Correcting a single downspout may help, but a connected plan is needed where several paths direct water toward the wall.
What to look for.
- Is there active leakage, staining or a visible crack?
- What access is available outside the affected wall?
- How do surface drainage and existing foundation drains work together?
Observe only from a safe place. Do not touch electrical equipment in wet areas or climb onto a wet roof.
